The Best Thing Ever For Your Pillow

sleep+spray
Julie (I can’t call her Jules: she’s my sister! She’s Julie to me, like I’m Missy to her!) gave me this awesome product (Lavender Chamomille Sleep Pillow Mist by Bath and Body Works) for Hanukkah, because I am notoriously not only a light sleeper, but a bad sleeper. I wake up in the middle of the night often, unable to get back to sleep, or I have trouble getting to sleep in the first place. The problem is that I have an overactive brain. I even have paper next to my bed in case I think of something that I worry I’ll forget by morning: I write it down. I’m always thinking. Sometimes that’s a pain in the butt.

Anyway, lavender has a reputation for being a soothing scent in the world of aromatherapy. This stuff is great: you spray it on your pillow (just a light mist and you let it dry before you lay down) before you go to bed and, in my opinion, it really does work!

I LOVE THIS STUFF!! ARE YOU HEARING ME?

I have used it every night since last weekend (except last night) and although it may be too early to declare, I think it has changed my life.

A funny story: even though it’s on my nightstand, I forgot to use it last night. I woke up at 3:30 a.m. (A-ha! I DIDN’T use it, and I WOKE UP at 3:30 a.m.!) I was, of course, having trouble getting back to sleep.

I thought, might as well grab the spray.

People, don’t do that. Unless you turn the light on. I gave the pillow a couple of sprays…and then accidentally sprayed my husband in the face.

At least his eyes were closed! But not for long…

Oops. Sah-ree!

Oops, on the hubs. Did you sleep on his face last night?

Maybe it’s just a Melissa/Melisa thing, do you think we are built differently and just don’t need to sleep? I’m going to have to get some of this stuff and give it a try.

My family calls me Missy, too.

Melissa: ROFL! And yes, the dramatic side of me believes that you may be onto something there with the Melisa/Melissa=no sleep. But let me know if the mist works for you!

Spazz: For the kid? Poor guy.

there may be a win win scenario here, my brain never works, and I can't sleep either, because my brain is too dumb to know when to sleep, so if I give you 1/2 of my dumb brain, and you give me 1/2 of your smart brain, and we both use this product we could be awesome.
