Tagged! part Zwei (that’s “two” to you English speakers)

Okay, so as I was saying earlier, I got tagged by my evil German twin sister Kat to do this book meme.

Here are the Rules:

1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).

2. Open the book to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the next three sentences.

5. Tag five people & post a comment here once you post it to your blog, so I can come see.

I probably had a book or two that was closer to me, but the book I am currently reading is Women’s Strength Training Anatomy by Frederic Delavier.

strength+book
OY, this is my nightmare book. I have to read it for Continuing Education Credits in order to renew my ACE Group Fitness Instructor Certification, which is up soon. I am NOT good at learning all of the names of every single stinkin’ muscle in a body. EEEEEEEK!!! But I am trying. Here is the fifth sentence (and the next one, which is the last sentence on the page) on page 123:

Rounding the back slightly helps to make the effort of the obliques more intensely felt. Very long series provide the best results.

Do you feel cheated? Here are the fifth-ninth sentences on the next page:

Its circular and horizontal fibers reduce the diameter of the abdominal region when they contract. This movement is recommended for young mothers as it helps to tone the transverse abdominal muscles, which are often distended by pregnancy. Note: Contraction of the transverse muscles of the abdomen is difficult to feel; therefore it is sugggested to concentrate on the feeling of the muscle and not on the intensity of the work. The transverse muscle can be worked on hands and knees with the back slightly rounded.

Can you see why I just can’t put this book down?

I hereby tag Kelly at Don Mills Diva, Melissa at Such Simple Pleasures, Janice at Twist & Skewer, Linda at Ribbon Rock Star, and Andie at Sweet.Southern.Spirited. Of course, anyone else is welcome to take it and run with it…just leave me a comment so I’ll know to go look at it! (If you’re on my blogroll, I will be looking anyway!)

Holy cow, I was completely riveted…not so much!! That’s got to be one of those you read a page each night and then pick up a good book to read. Please tell me I’m right, please…

Melissa: You’re half right. Actually, I can’t even give you half. I normally don’t take much time at all to read anything enjoyable anymore because I am always busy doing other things, and with this book I am currently just trying to “speed through it” (If that’s possible) because I’m trying to get to the online test by next week!

DMD: Crazy-ass is ONE way to describe it! LOL I look forward to checking out the meme on your blog!

Oh Melisa I love the new color. Much easier on the eye.

As for your book. Well let me just say I …snooze…ahem I meant to say I am sorry you have to read it. Does sound like quite a chore.

    Thanks Kat,
I’m trying to figure out what the hell I’m doing with the look of this blog because it’s totally bugging me. I have very little knowledge of useful html and so I am going to try to make a new header .jpg today and we’ll see how it goes. The black doesn’t match my personality; I’m more of a bright-color person. 🙂

i’ll take the tag…and i’ll do it later! after i’m done having my temper tantrum…not about the tag…about having obnoxious, rude and ill-tempered children…
