A Very Special Meating

Delightful graphic created by Big Bad Daddy

Tomorrow (Sunday) is going to be a very, very special day. A fun day. A crazy day. An exciting day. A musical day. A huggy day. A feel-good day.

Curious yet?

I am, along with Weaselmomma and Surprised Mom, heading across the Midwest and back, six hours each way (yes, in the same day). Rather than re-summarize what Weaselmomma has already written, I’m sending you over there to read it; click here and it’ll open in a new window. Go ahead. I’ll wait. And Momo wrote a sweet post, so you should go look at that. Click here. Go ahead. I can wait again.

Are you back? Good.

Anyhoo, I am so excited about Sunday that I can’t stand it. The circumstances that brought this event on were totally sucky, but it’s going to make my week to meet Momo. I *heart* her. We all do.

The trip? Well, to use descriptions that have been used by others, it’s going to be “epic” (That’s from OhCaptain) and “stupid amounts of fun” (that’s from Weaselmomma). Like the “Go Big or Go Home” geek that I am, I have planned activities for the ride, which I won’t share at this point. (You’ll have to wait for the err, “post-Post”.)

I know what you’re thinking. “I wish *I* could go along for the ride!”

Well, you can! *sort of.*

I’ll be tweeting for most of the day. Follow me on Twitter here. While you’re at it, follow Weaselmomma and Surprised Mom, though I believe I am the designated Tweeter. I will also be using (when I remember!) the hashtag #momo. If you’re not currently on Twitter and are thinking, “Aw, hell no! I am NOT joining Twitter for this!” but you are still a little curious at some point during the day, you can come back here and click on our twitter links: that way you can just read our tweets all at once, at any time during the day.

We are bringing music, of course, to listen to along the way. Because I’m a total freak, and because I learned from my sister that it’s just plain fun, I made a Momo’s Meat Wagon soundtrack. Here’s the playlist:

1. The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)—Jason Mraz
2. Love Revolution—Lenny Kravitz
3. Fast Car—Tracy Chapman
4. I Can’t Drive 55—Sammy Hagar
5. Highway to Hell—AC/DC
6. Devil in My Car—The B-52’s
7. I Am the Highway—Audioslave
8. Electric Avenue—Eddy Grant
9. Movin’ Right Along—Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear (shut up.)
10. Beautiful Day—U2
11. Drive My Car—The Beatles
12. Paradise by the Dashboard Light—MEATloaf
13. One Headlight—The Wallflowers
14. Holiday Road—Lindsay Buckingham
15. You’re a Friend of Mine—Clarence Clemons & Jackson Browne

And there you have it!

One more thing: I wanted to mention that Weaselmomma is still collecting cashola through tonight. Details are back at her blog (remember? you clicked on it up there…).

Have a great weekend, everybody! Look for a summary (words, photos, and video) at some point on Monday!

P.S. By the way, in case you were wondering, I can totally handle meat-touching situations like this one. It’s this kind that makes me lose my mind, remember?
