Ready? Here’s the secret:


That’s right. The secret to a super Passover seder is to serve MY charoset*. Seriously.

*I must add, out of respect to my good friend who is hosting the seder tonight (as she does every year) that the other secret to having a super Passover seder is good company, at a lovely home. But she loves my charoset too. Just sayin’.

    I think that's a wonderful secret. Does it work for all holidays or just for this particular type of seder? I hope you made enough!

    I've never sweetened our Charoset. I'm not sure our family could adapt after all these years a different way.

    I'm jealous of your company for Seder. Somehow it just never feels the same when it's just us. I didn't make a dessert this year, I never would have done that if company were coming.

    Of course Mark decides to tell me 20 minutes ago that he would have loved some stewed fruit. *sigh*

    Wow…what's not to like? Sounds delicious and fairly easy to make, and who can say no to a little Manischevitz (or Mogen David)? I'm going to try to make this as part of our Easter dinner!
