I Could Live There In a Bahamian Minute

Part Two of my “Weather’s Better in the Bahamas” series–you know, the one in which I totally act like it’s not the middle of winter around here–is chock-full of lovely color. Today’s photos, like the one in yesterday’s post, were also taken on Great Guana Cay (by me, with my dented, pink-duct-taped Olympus C-60) during the trip I took with the older boy and our Boy Scout Troop. The Bahamas High Adventure was the trip of a lifetime; we spent nearly a week on a pirate ship (you’ll get that story tomorrow) in one of the most beautiful settings I’ve ever had the privilege to enjoy personally.

It’s your turn to enjoy. Grab some coconut milk, sit under a bright light…heck, put on a swimsuit and crank up the beach tunes. Ready? Go.

I’m feeling warmer already.

Tomorrow? PIRATES!

Um, you almost ruined it by mentioning putting on a swimsuit, but then I got lost in the pictures.

Shouldn't you have put the info about your OLYMPUS CAMERA WITH THE PINK DUCT TAPE in big letters? You know, so Olympus gets the hint?

I'm not sure if this is helping me to go on a virtual vacation or just reinforcing my desperation to have sunlight and warmth back in my life.

so these are great, but it's not working because i can still tell that i'm not actually in the bahamas right now.

    how? if i'm not drunk.

I feel tanner already! I'm going with it!

I didn't know the boy scouts go to the Bahamas…I need to have a kid! 🙂

That's gotta be the littlest pirate plank I've seen. Where's the big ol' one like in the movies? 🙂 But, that water looks really refreshing, I'd probably be making frequent trips off of that thing myself.

I was looking through your Bahama series and lo and behold I missed this one. Good for me because I can immerse myself once more in warmth, sunshine and beautiful color. Your photos are wonderful!
