Sunday Quickie

I had a really nice post planned for today about the apple bread I was making earlier, but that all went to hell when I was making said apple bread and cut the tip of my finger off, resulting in my sister taking me to Urgent Care.

I love that, when I checked in at the Urgent Care on Facebook, Momo commented “The lengths that Melisa will go for a blog post!” because one of the first thoughts that came to my mind as I was sitting in the waiting room was of course, “I can’t wait to write about this.”

I will have to, though, because although I’m going to be totally fine, right now my finger is throbbing and all I can focus on is that and trying to get all of the curse words out of my brain.

So I guess I’ll get two posts out of this in total. That Momo is pretty smart.

I’m sorry that you hurt yourself. Are you feeling better? I hope so. What a lousy thing to have happen.

[I’m confused as to how one checks in at Urgent Care on FB. I ditched FB years ago, so are you saying this for real– or is this a joke of some sort? Please explain. Another post, perhaps?]

Thanks. It’s still hurting but, you know, that kind of goes with the territory when you cut yourself. I have a very high tolerance for pain but the throbbing is making me feel very whiny. Luckily I’m keeping that on the inside. 🙂

Yes, you can now check in on Facebook just like FourSquare. There’s a “check in” button on individual profile pages.

You should have tagged this as, “Momo is awesome.” Clearly, I need the keys to your blog so this can be rectified.

You? Take good care of that wound and from now on, let someone else do the cutting. xoxo

Dangit. Wish I had thought of that tag first. I rectified it though. Check it out. 🙂

BTW, I am sending you the keys so you have them, just in case. Meant to do that ages ago. 🙂
