We celebrate our 21st anniversary today! I say this every year, but I can’t believe how time has flown. It seems like only yesterday I was stalking him through the halls of our high school (No, seriously. I was. But that’s a story for another day.), and now it’s 23 years after we met and I love him more than I ever have. In 1985. I was 16 and a high school junior, he was 18 and a senior. 1988; at my 20th birthday celebration with friends…nice glasses, right? June 2006 To my husband, my love, my best friend, my everything…Happy Anniversary!!

WHO Is Raising Such a Thoughtful Child??? (Oh Yeah, He and I are!)
I have a meme that Lotus tagged me for, still in “draft” mode because it’s so long and I’ve been fighting a migraine all day (Dude, you’re getting a blog plug today AND tomorrow! You’re welcome! 🙂 ), so that will wait til tomorrow. In the meantime, I had to post this quick story. Upon learning that his Dad was up til 2:00 a.m. on Saturday night thinking about that Scary and Intense movie, (and the garlic probably didn’t help either) the twelve-year-old asked me to hang this near Dad’s side of the bed last night. Hanukkah-palooza!
So, finally the story of our traditional Hanukkah-palooza! Our little family of four has many traditions. One of the most important ones to us involves another family who is very, very special to us. Background information: We used to live two houses away from this family in a neighborhood just about 2 miles from where we are now (we’ve been in this house for 7 years now). Although we only lived in that other house for about 2, maybe 2 1/2 years (we were renting), we met this family who will be friends for our lifetime. There are seven of them (the five kids ranging currently in age from 7…

Thanks! (and a lot of complaining about Wal Mart)
Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes, and thanks to Dad AND Mom for commenting! (Mom commented under a previous day’s post) I had a really good, quiet day. I taught my cycling class, came home and walked the dog, and then did a little computer stuff. When the fifteen-year-old came home from school, I took him to his ortho appointment (actually, HE drove). We went to the post office, and then made my one major error of the day: went to Wal-Mart. OMG, I HATE that place. We only went because I was looking for some inexpensive fleece material to donate to the Eagle project of a Boy Scout…
