Jim’s birthday on Friday was one for the books. Poor guy had to spend the morning home, waiting for a tow truck (I happen to know lots about that, having had my car towed 4 times between late September and November…) because his truck sprung a fuel line leak. The -50 degree windchill didn’t help matters. But at least he got to wait for the tow at home, while I taught class and took the boys, who were off from school, on a birthday errand. Disclaimer: This New Year’s Eve Recap is not for Dork-a-phobes. We had a GREAT time on New Year’s Eve. We were invited to the home of two of our oldest friends; actually they are our oldest “Couple” friends. (does that make sense?) Dawn and Scott live almost 90 minutes south of here and we only get together once or twice each year; although I wish we lived closer, our time together always ends up being worth the wait. It’s Been Quite a Journey So Far, My Love!
I want to wish a Happy 22nd Anniversary* to my husband and best friend! Words can’t express how much I love you but I wanted to tell you (and I will, don’t worry…you won’t have to just read it here on my blog!) how much I appreciate you and thank my lucky stars that we not only got together (after much stalking on my behalf), but STAYED together after all these years. Eight Crazy Posts! (#8) (Finally!) (Whew!)
In this, the last of eight crazy posts, I have a few reflections on and memories of Hanukkah 2008 that I’d like to share. Last Sunday: First night of Hanukkah. Awesome night; had to dust off the cellphone rules (and adjust them a bit) because the thirteen-year-old was getting a cellphone for Hanukkah!
