Let Me Introduce Myself…

Are you new here? Welcome!

I recently made a request of my regular readers and they really came through for me. I asked for help with a bio for Suburban Scrawl, so that new folks popping in could get a feel for what I’m about in a reasonable amount of time, without having to plow through a bunch of posts. I got some really excellent and sweet responses..here is what they came up with:

*blush*

Kat, who is my German twin sister, from In Your Face Suckers:
I’d have to say (and you can quote me on that) that you’re the funnest bloglady on the web, with a love for dogs, crafts and a non-biological twin. 🙂

Sue, from As Cape Cod Turns:
Suburban Scrawl is hosted by Melisa with One S,
Why only one S? It’s anyone’s guess.
Welcome to her world outside Chi-town,
She lives with her hunky husband, not a clown.
Her boys are both teens and very smart,
One can use duct tape to make a horse cart.
She writes from her heart, her voice it does sing,
She loves Duran Duran, writing and tiara bling!
Sit and get comfy and stay for a spell,
Sweet Melisa always has a story to tell!

LceeL, from, er, LouCeeL:
Just make sure you let everyone know – you’re gorgeous. In mind, body and spirit.

NYC Girl, from Discovering Me:
To me your blog represents “home” or that feeling you get when you’ve been away for a long time and are coming home. Maybe its the white picket fence on you header pic but it goes beyond that. You’re an inspirational person…you’re a mom, wife, author, friend, sister and you do it all with class.

Michelle, from Honest and Truly:
Umm, tiara wearing, every blog’s best friend, anddd there went my creativity.

And last but definitely not least, Nukedad from Nuclear Family Warhead:
Melisa grew up so poor that her parents could only afford one s for her name. Now that she’s more wealthy, she is changing her name and the name of her blog to “Misses Melissa’s Sassy Suburbans Scrawls”…Now, there’s some s’s for ya!

They were kind, don’t you think? I hope you stick around and get to know me and my friends! Thanks for reading!

You are universally, or is it blogoversally, loved. You might want to keep some of these on the book jacket bio too.

I'm so sorry that I forgot to send mine in!

Melisa with 1 S is a Mother, Wife and author. She writes with a wonderful zest for life and appreciation for the little things it has to offer. Smart, funny and witty, you will never leave The Suburban Scrawl without a smile on your face and a warm feeling in your heart.
