I have been waiting for this day for what seems like forever (amazing how three and a half months can feel like forever!): I’m back in the same state–the same room, even!–as my sistuh-from-anuthuh-mutha. I’m so excited to be here I might possibly cry at some point. It’s been interesting, telling people before today that I was going to New Jersey. I got questions like, “Why would you go there?” and funny looks ranging anywhere from scowling to nose crinkling to head shaking. New Jersey has a bad rap. In fact, I was going to embed a video of Fred Armisen portraying former New York governor David Paterson on SNL…

In This Case, “PH” Has Nothing To Do With Chemistry. (Scientific Chemistry, Anyway.)
By far one of the best things that has resulted from blogging since the fall of 2007 is the fact that I can travel just about anywhere and have the ability–time allowing–to meet up with a friend or two (or three, or four, or five) who happens to live there. As soon as I found out I was going to be in Detroit this week I messaged my friend Melissa to let her know I’d be in town and although I didn’t know yet what my schedule was going to be like, I hoped that she would mark the date so we could attempt a meet-up. Another “Duh” Moment, Brought To You By BlogHer Food.
I have written about how much fun we have around here, making the family meal plan. Meal planning is not difficult, but it takes time. Then, after you’ve been doing it for a while it takes even more time because even if you come up with creative names for what you’re making and you’re crazy about the recipes you’re using, the desire to come up with new dinner ideas takes over. My #BlogHerFood In Pictures
Although I have attended BlogHer’s annual conference for the past four years, this was my first BlogHer Food conference, and my first conference as a member of the BlogHer team. The Super Special Bonus of my weekend was that I got to work and play almost every minute right alongside one of my BFFs. I had a great time and the experience only made me more excited about next month’s annual conference in my hometown. I have gathered some pictures together to try and give you the essence of my weekend. Here goes: Momo and I attended an event with The Pioneer Woman and, while sitting on a couch across…

I’m in Austin, Texas for the BlogHer Food Conference (Howdy!). It’s my first conference as someone behind-the-scenes, so I’m pretty excited about it. Also, I’m speaking on a panel along with Momo (BlogHer’s Social Media Manager) and Denise Tanton (Blogher Community Manager). The panel is called “For Good Measure: Search and Social Tracking and Measurements” and THIS IS BY FAR THE GEEKIEST THING I HAVE EVER OFFICIALLY DONE. Anyway, Momo flew from Columbus to Chicago yesterday so we could fly here together. I arrived at the airport in time to check my bag, get through security, and find her gate so I could greet her. Remember the good old days…
