The 2012 GMC Acadia Denali: My New Favorite

Okay, wow. As you know, I have had the good fortune to test-drive many General Motors vehicles on an extended (one week) basis, for the purpose of providing my “I’m a busy blogger, writer, show producer, event planner, exercise enthusiast, reality tv-watcher, beagle owner, wife, and mom just to name a few” opinion about them. I have enjoyed them all. The Chevy Cruze (especially when it smelled like the paczkis I bought that one time, leading me to beg GM’s Connie Burke to beg Chevrolet to invent a “baked goods feature”) was a favorite. The Chevy Sonic, in all its cuteness, was a big hit with me AND my teenagers.…

Doing It (Almost) Dailey At The Dailey Method

This is the second of three posts I am writing about my month-long trial of The Dailey Method. (Read the first one HERE.) I am so excited to be able to share my experience with you! Addicted. That’s me. Not one to ever take an opportunity for granted, I am taking my “Unlimited Month of Classes” at The Dailey Method very seriously: In the past fifteen days I have enjoyed ten classes, and have already made reservations for eleven classes for the next fifteen days. Though I lost five pounds in the first week, a couple of those came back. I’m not stressing about the number though, to be honest.…

    About Last Night

I’m having a little trouble. I can’t really wrap my head around the whirlwind that was LISTEN TO YOUR MOTHER CHICAGO last night. I can’t keep using the word “amazing” and expect that 1. People will continue to take me seriously 2. People will believe that yes, I’m a writer …but the fact is, everything about this experience (well, not everything: there were a few snags in the planning process but everything shook out in the end) WAS amazing. I tend to be long-winded (or whatever that is in terms of writing), and although I can think of thousands of things to report to you about last night, I think…

Vienna Beef = Hot Dog Heaven

I really don’t even know where to start. I was invited to the Vienna Beef Headquarters and Factory Store to be in the small (miniscule, actually: there were about eight of us!) blogger audience for a broadcasting of Chicagonista Live, with my Social RevUp partner MJ Tam, BBRadio hostess Beth Rosen, and the other two CL ladies, Nancy Loo (Big Tiny) and Duong Sheehan. The experience was set up to be really fun: we would meet some of the folks from Vienna Beef while enjoying some Chicago hot dogs (THE Chicago hot dogs, actually: Vienna Beef hot dogs were first introduced at the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition, otherwise known as…

    Where’s The Beef?

Excuse the 80’s reminder about an entirely different brand altogether, but here it is. I visited the Mothership today. It’s late, though. I’ll be posting about this tomorrow. The only problem is, if you just show up here by clicking the home page, you won’t see it because although it’s not a review, it’ll be listed on my review page because it’s a “brand interaction” post. That being said, if you subscribe to my feed, like my Facebook page, or follow me on Twitter the post will be delivered to you hot, fresh, and full of a variety of great ingredients, much like a Chicago hot dog. Get some rest.…
