The One In Which I Put All The Cards On The Table.

You know how all of us out here in the blogosphere have, ahem, secrets? The kind that we keep offline and to ourselves? I was having a conversation with my girl Momo last night, during which she said, “we think we know these people, but…do we??” (I paraphrased that, but you get the idea, right?)

Well, I’ve got a secret, and I think it’s the perfect time to share it with you.

First, a deep breath:

Okay, here goes:

    #1: I still ♥ you!
#2: What are you going to do with all that stuff? Eventually sell it on Ebay for loads of $$ to people more obsessed than yourself (and finance a trip TO England?)
#3: I also have the People Di issue!

I don't know that I really have any secrets…I'm a pretty open book!

  • NYCPatty

Of course I still love you!

I think I have one Princess Diana magazine somewhere in my house. I'm a little jealous of your collection! (P.S. I have more Kennedy stuff and I even wrote a paper on Joan Kennedy…yes good ole drunk Joan for a book report. HA! My mother was also a HUGE Kennedy fan…sigh! It all rubs off!)

Let's go to London for William & Kate's wedding! 🙂 It's a once in a lifetime (well twice but we were kids and couldn't go)opportunity. I'd forgo a blogging conference or two to go to London!

  • Dawn

I totally knew your secret! 😉 I also have the Elton John cd, but I'm not as obsessed as you.

I remember the day that Diana died. I was sitting here in a hotel room while Scott was getting ready for work. I was crying my eyes out!

Oh, and I better be invited to your viewing party. I'll rock my tiara (that you gave to me)! 🙂

  • Piper of Love

Are you kidding?? You are FABOOSH!!

We all have our secret obsessions. I happen to love milk glass compotes, I do, so sue me.

kisses and love, I LOVE this post, and this new bit of you.

  • Oscar

You must have a very large closet.

Not sure I've ever been into anything quite that much but there isn't anything wrong with that!

You should try to attend the wedding.

Oh why would you being a Royalty Fanatic make us not love you?

BTW the word verification word for my comment is "tuatorke" whatthe hell?

  • Lucy

LOVE this! I too am super excited about this wedding and used to have tons of Diana magazines (although not as many as you.) I lugged them through several moves and before moving to Chicago decided it was time to part with them. *tear*

Maybe we should have a royal wedding watching party??????

  • Jennifer

I know I told you on twitter this is awesome, but I have to tell you this story bc maybe you'll understand it:

I worked at an Internet cafe in Schaumburg & this lady would come in almost EVERY day and scan pictures of Lady Diana. We could not figure out what she was doing with all of them or how she got that many to come in and scan them so often. Or why she didn't just buy a scanner of her own!

Also, totally excited about this wedding too. I have a friend in London right now & I am dying to have her send me a paper from there about this event.

  • Tara R.

That is so cute. I remember the wedding, but I don't think I stayed up to watch it.

Can you imagine how it would have been if Twitter was around then? Maybe you should live tweet it.

    Loved the tiara!

  • Momo Fali

Are you kidding me? I love you more than ever. Even if you are a mental case.

I even knew about your obsession and was still shocked. I spent half the video with my hand over my mouth in awe and when you held up the baby picture and I yelled, "No way" then you said, "I know. Shut up!" Ali couldn't believe it. Like we were totally talking to each other!

    My captcha is "crazywomaninchicagowiththethimbles"!

  • TheNextMartha

Ok, we must get you the missing thimble and pray that they make ones for the upcoming wedding and children! Thimbles FTW!

  • Heather

i am seriously cracking up here. like, CRACKING UP that I learned your secret cause I am a huge royal family lover too! I remember the day Princess Di died– I cried in my driveway when I read the paper and say she had been killed. so so so sad. i am super happy for william & kate and hope that they have a happy life together!

it seems to me, you've lived your life like a candle in the wind.

possibly the funniest thing i've seen this month. and it's the 30th.
