Chicagoland is known for brutal winters, during which 95% of its residents (<----not a real statistic: it's my own estimate.) moan about how they wish it was warmer. There is one place in this area that is unaffected by the cold, and that's KeyLime Cove Water Park Resort, where it’s a tropical paradise all year long.
General Motors (the major sponsor for my Chicago book launch event) loaned me a 2011 Chevy Cruze to drive for a week, and I took that baby up to Gurnee, Illinois to check out this fabulous place (again, since I’ve stayed there with my family before!), for the purpose of sharing it with you.

I never KNEW this place existed and you do know that I toured Gurnee by ACCIDENT this past Thanksgiving 🙂 What a cool place! I will def pass this onto my chicago-land family!
